Theatre Comuna exhibitions

Cycle of Temporary Exhibitions

These series of exhibitions are the result of a collaborative partnership between the photographer Nuno Beja and Theatre Comuna.

Photographer Nuno Beja has been developing a new photography project with the aim of showing another vision of what the audience considers to be backstage. From the construction of the scenery and other stage properties, reading of scripts, preparation of the actors, to the stage director’s process of questioning and constructing the play, Nuno Beja breaks up stereotypes, and presents the deconstruction of every theatre play presented at Theatre Comuna. This process results in a final exhibition that opens on every play premiere.
